Shepherds Hut



Our Beautifully appointed, bespoke shepherds hut is nestled in a corner of our seven acre farm in the charming village of Curry Rivel; an ideal rural location but within walking distance to a convenient local shop, tearooms and two pubs!

The Shepherds hut has it's own private decked area and fire pit overlooking rural parkland- perfect for enjoying a glass of wine in the summer evenings and alfresco dining.  Snuggle up in the winter in our cosy hut with a local mulled cider, surrounded by plump pillows, throws and luxurious bedding following a hearty meal at the local Inn.

Whatever the season Old Oak Farm is the Perfect place to relax and unwind.   





The shepherds hut has it's own private decked area & garden to enjoy, looking out at our pet piglets & Free range chicken with rural parkland views beyond. Your garden is  equipped with a fire pit that can be cooked on. Pick your own herbs from the garden for your cooking!  


A little hamper of goodies will await you on arrival with a selection of essentials for your stay.

Your Bathroom Shepherds hut is spacious and quirky with everything you'll require; Including luxurious, spa quality, Eco friendly products to use during your stay leaving your skin and hair feeling amazing and keeping our eco friendly drainage system happy!

Your room will be serviced every two days but if you require anything at all during your stay your host will be at hand!

We are situated in-between two superb local pubs. The Fire House Somerset and the Drayton Crown can be reached on foot within 10 minutes.  

Cultural Sites


Muchelney Abbey (two miles away)- This fascinating site is perfect for history lovers it is the second oldest religious foundation in Somerset.  



There are many local footpaths leading to areas of natural beauty and incredible views of The Somerset Levels and moors. 

Burrow Mump and Glastonbury Tor are famous sites to visit during your stay.

Somerset Cider Tour & Tasting


The famous Burrow Hill cider is just 3 miles away- the farm has been pressing cider for over 200 years! A lovely little walk up burrow Hill must not be missed for fantastic views of the Somerset Countryside.  

Bird Watching 


RSPB at Swell Wood is just two miles away with picturesque views across the Somerset levels- a perfect quiet spot to watch birds and other nature.



Barrington Pottery can be reached within 7 minutes- offering pottery lessons and classes.
